Terms of Service

By creating an EventoGate account or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using EventoGate on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

EventoGate provides an API-first event registration, check-in, and automation platform accessible at eventogate.com and via the EventoGate API. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Account security

You must notify us immediately at support@eventogate.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from your failure to keep credentials secure.

You agree not to use EventoGate to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party; (c) transmit spam, malware, or other malicious content; (d) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or data; (e) resell or sublicense the service without written permission; (f) use the service for any purpose that is harmful, fraudulent, or deceptive. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.

Subscription fees

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are stated in USD and are exclusive of applicable taxes. You authorise EventoGate to charge your payment method on the applicable billing cycle.

Upgrades and downgrades

You may upgrade your plan at any time; the new rate takes effect immediately on a pro-rated basis. Downgrading takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

Refunds

We offer a pro-rated refund within 14 days of your first payment on a new paid plan. After this period, payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge. If the payment remains outstanding after 7 days, we may suspend access to paid features until the balance is settled.

Our IP

EventoGate and its content, features, and functionality are owned by EventoGate and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without prior written consent.

Your data

You retain all rights to the data you submit to EventoGate. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the service.

Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the service may be used by us without restriction or compensation to you.

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using EventoGate, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal basis to submit your attendees' personal data to EventoGate.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EventoGate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts owed, or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases and we will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, except where prohibited by local law.

We may update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
